Accordingly to Guidelines on packaging labelling pursuant to art. 219 paragraph 5 of Legislative Decree 152/2006 and subsequent amendments, the obligation to indicate information on the packaging final destination, applies to all packaging offered to consumers in the B2C channel, while it does not apply to packaging intended for the B2B channel.

These Guidelines clarify that the use of digital tools is always permitted to fulfil the environmental labelling packaging obligation (e.g. Apps, QR codes, digital channels).

In particular, digital channels can complete, replace or integrate the information reported directly on the packaging.
